My sincere condolences to the James family. Sylvia was just an all around amazing woman. We met as opposing field hockey coaches in 1989 and while Nisky beat Bethlehem it was the start of a friendship. We shared our passion for animal rescue and advocacy. I will truly miss our long phone conversations. Heaven just gained a great coach, teacher, mentor and a beautiful angel. God’s blessing and peace to the family. Rest In Peace my friend.

We were so saddened to learn of Sylvia's passing. She was a dynamic person and we have fond memories of the many talks we shared and our times together at Craig School and baseball events. Her infectious laugh and smile will be part of what we remember when we think of her and how she could bring light into a room. She was an inspiration and friend to so many through the years. I know you all will miss her greatly and hope your happy memories will carry all of you through this difficult time. Our sincere condolences to each of you. The Van Evera Family

Dear Bryan,

As I look at the smiling face of your mother, tears come to my eyes. For many years Gene,Erik and
I were your neighbors across the street on Valencia Road. The Sylvia I knew was such a person
of energy, determination, dealing with whatever life brought her-- the good and the difficult.
She also knew how to play and to have fun.

She loved you, Scott and the rest of the family wholeheartedly. I know you will miss her and
hope you will always have wonderful happy memories of her.

My sincere condolences to you and the family,
Ellen Blake
